A short time ago I was exploring possibilities for picking up a line of pouches that would allow for identification during night time or other limited visibility situations. The options that presented themselves to me were either: A. Of one time use B. Of poor quality and C. Prohibitively expensive. So, I turned to an excellent custom gear manufacturer to produce a pouch that would accommodate 1.5" mini glow sticks and other such means of identification. The result was what I'd like to call the IFF Pouch (IFF for Identification Friend or Foe), with thanks for that name going out to my friend Evan. 

With this pouch, one can use one of many means of compact illumination (including glow sticks and LEDs which both will soon be available on Crypsis) to:

• Keep a low cost and renewable means of identifying yourself in real military applications
• Identify friendly or hostile parties during recreational activities such as airsoft or paintball
• Maintain safety and cohesion during survival or search and rescue situations
• Maintain visibility while bicycling or running along darkened roads
• Have a wicked game of manhunt (those that are "caught" must activate their glow sticks or LEDs)
